Adam spent 35 years working for Shell International as a Sub-Surface Analyst, Petroleum Engineering Team Leader and Technical Director around the world. He has worked in five continents – particularly in Africa (Nigeria), the Far East (Brunei, Malaysia & Indonesia), in America (Houston), Europe (Netherlands, Cyprus) and more than 20 years in the Middle East (Qatar, Oman). He became resident in Cyprus in 2010.
His last 10 years in Shell International were spent as the Vice President responsible for Technical Training & Leadership Development. After retiring from Shell in 2009, Adam has worked for the Qatar Foundation and Qatar Financial Authority teaching Leadership to high potential Qataris.
Adam is able to work with the highest level of government and executives and is specifically focused on helping to determine strategy and facilitate change in oil and gas companies across the Middle East and the Levant. His work in learning and development makes him especially interested in determining the most appropriate development programs for nationals and leadership in general.
His interest in developing leaders has taken him into family businesses in the Gulf region where he believes in sharing his experience in larger companies for the benefit of those who otherwise might not have access.
For over 30 years, Richard has worked in a client-facing environment in the International IT Services and Executive Search market – primarily focusing on the Energy Industry sector – during which time he has lived in North America, the UK and the Middle East and has travelled extensively worldwide.
Richard’s business values are centered on personal integrity, empathy, client & candidate commitment and care. His long experience of working in large companies, and his subsequent migration to the Search Industry, means Richard can identify with many of the challenges associated with current Executive level business and the need for candidate alignment with the values and culture of the prospective company.
With 10 years direct experience in the Search Industry, Richard has successfully delivered on assignments in various energy sub-sectors, including oil & gas (upstream and downstream), wind, marine, solar, smart grid and power – at 'C Level' and below – on behalf of clients in mainland Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East.
Working in the Middle East for the last few years, Richard has observed and worked with many differing cultures and has recognised the need for individual states to grow their exposure to International Markets, whilst concurrently developing their own entrepreneurial leadership style.
Janny is a Certified Executive Coach (ICF), Counsellor (BACP) & Mediator with over 20 years experience working in private as well as corporate sectors. Having lived and worked in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America, all her coaching is performed with the utmost sensitivity to the cultural background and ethics of the client. She has hands-on practical experience from working across many business functions (CEO-level, middle-management, family issues) and is used to challenging situations. She functions well under stress, has excellent inter-personal skills, is a creative thinker and problem solver.
Her primary focus is to create actionable strategies for achieving specific goals and, as a coach, Janny uses a facilitative and experiential learning approach that offers support and challenges behaviour to enhance natural strengths and remove the limitations to achieving personal, professional and business success. Janny aims to develop a willingness for self-examination and a transparency about personal dilemmas and feelings in order to increase self-awareness and also to match private core values and purpose with those of the company.
